This document governs your use of the Borax Powder UK platform. By accessing this website, you confirm that you are a professional operator and agree to these terms in full.

1Entity & Professional Supply Agreement

Borax Powder UK is a technical chemical reagent supplier operating exclusively as a B2B (Business-to-Business) platform. We supply industrial-grade materials solely for professional, laboratory, and industrial use.

  • Prohibited use: This platform does not serve domestic consumers. Products are strictly prohibited for household, culinary, cosmetic, or any non-industrial application.
  • Automatic rejection: Any order identified as being placed for personal or domestic use will be immediately cancelled without notice.

2Mandatory Professional Declaration

By checking the Professional Use Declaration box at checkout, the Buyer legally warrants that:

  • They are acting as a professional operator, sole trader, or registered business entity.
  • The materials will be used solely for industrial, metallurgical, laboratory, or technical research purposes.
  • They accept full regulatory responsibility for handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with UK REACH and HSE regulations.

3Information We Collect

We treat your data as a professional trust, collecting only what is necessary to fulfil our supply obligations and meet regulatory requirements:

  • Business & order data: Company name, business registration number, billing/shipping address, professional contact email, phone number, and payment method.
  • Regulatory audit trail: Timestamped logs and IP addresses of the Professional Use Declaration, stored to demonstrate compliance with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Session data: For security and fraud prevention, we may log IP addresses, browser types, and session times.
  • Essential cookies: Used exclusively for core site functionality — shopping cart, account security, and session persistence. No tracking pixels, third-party advertising cookies, or behavioural marketing trackers are used.

4How We Use Your Data

  • Collection: Data is gathered through order placement, the Professional Use Declaration, and contact forms.
  • Purpose: To process and deliver your orders, communicate regarding enquiries, maintain our regulatory compliance audit trail, and secure the platform.
  • No commercial sale: We strictly do not sell, rent, or trade your business information to third-party marketing firms.
  • Service partners: We share data only with essential partners — encrypted payment processors and logistics providers — strictly to complete your order.

5Regulatory Audit Trail & Data Retention

In accordance with chemical supply chain traceability requirements, all Professional Use Declaration records are retained and may be produced to the HSE or other regulatory authorities upon request, to demonstrate that we have fulfilled our legal duty to vet professional customers.

6Buyer Warranty & Liability

The Buyer assumes full liability for:

  • Compliance with all applicable local environmental and safety laws.
  • Implementation of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during handling.
  • Storage conditions in accordance with the provided Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

Borax Powder UK accepts no liability for health impacts, property damage, or legal penalties arising from the Buyer’s failure to handle the substance as a professional entity or for its misuse in unauthorised or domestic applications. Products are supplied for professional and industrial purposes only.
